At first glance, writing on other IMfaceplate members’ faces may seem like a great way to get your affiliate links seen by more people, especially when you target heavily visited faceplates.

However, chances are, what you wrote will be deleted.

That’s because marketers – who know what they are doing – don’t want their faceplate seen as yet another social networking version of the banner farm.

If they won’t plaster their affiliate links all over their own faceplates, does it really surprise you when they delete your affiliate inks? Of course not, right?

But you can get traffic by writing on faces

A simple hello and link to your faceplate is a polite way to introduce yourself.

Further writings can link to blog posts and articles. Use your articles and the blog posts pre-sell your affiliate programs for you.

For example, you could write, “I wrote a blog post that shows new affiliates how to get their first Clickbank cheque. Would you be kind enough to read it and let me know what you think?    http://bit.ly/9BbVYa

Now you can use the blog post as a pre-selling device. In this case, the blog post get’s people to download a free e-book that shows them how to get paid by Clickbank.

The key is this; don’t use IMfaceplate as a banner farm. Use it to drive traffic to your site.
